1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how SalaryBoost collects and uses information when you visit getsalaryboost.com , use the free salary check, create an account, purchase the Salary Growth Plan, or contact support.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account information, such as your email address, authentication status, account identifiers, and plan entitlement data.
- Salary and career diagnostic inputs, such as profession, custom profession, country, state or region, experience level, current salary, salary period, diagnosis results, and a pseudonymous diagnosis identifier kept in your browser.
- Unsupported profession interest, such as a profession SalaryBoost does not cover yet, recorded without an email address or account link.
- Purchase and access information, such as product purchased, payment status, checkout identifiers, order identifiers, plan access records, and paid session records.
- Product usage information, such as plan progress, quiz responses, saved access state, plan reflections and other free text career responses you submit, product and module feedback, ratings, comments, and support requests.
- Contact and support information, such as messages you send us through the contact form, an optional email address you provide so we can respond, and the page or feature the message was sent from.
- Technical information, such as device, browser, IP address, logs, security signals, and error data created when you use the website.
A free salary diagnosis may be linked to a later purchase so that we can measure conversion and understand how the product is used.
3. Firebase Auth, Firestore, And App Check
SalaryBoost uses Firebase Auth for user accounts and Firebase Firestore for application data. Firebase may process account identifiers, authentication state, security metadata, and the product records needed to provide access, save progress, store diagnostic data, and support the service.
SalaryBoost uses Firebase App Check with reCAPTCHA Enterprise for security, bot detection, and abuse prevention. For this purpose Google may process browser, device, and similar technical signals when you use the website. It is not used for marketing.
4. Payments
Paddle is the current payment provider and acts as the Merchant of Record for purchases. Paddle may process payment details, billing data, taxes, fraud checks, receipts, returns, and payment confirmation. If the payment provider changes, this policy will be updated.
SalaryBoost does not store full card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive payment credentials. We store only the payment and access records needed to confirm a purchase, provide digital access, handle support, and prevent abuse.
5. Email Communications
SalaryBoost may send account, verification, product access, support, and transactional emails. Resend is used for some server-side product access emails. Firebase may send account verification or authentication-related emails.
You can contact support at getsalaryboost@gmail.com .
6. Cookies, Local Storage, And Session Data
SalaryBoost may use cookies, local storage, and session storage to keep you signed in, preserve paid access sessions, remember checkout handoff state, save guest progress, store quiz responses, improve reliability, and protect the service.
The free salary diagnosis also keeps a pseudonymous identifier in your browser. It is not an account identifier and is not used for marketing. It is used to apply fair use limits, rate limit requests, prevent abuse, and keep the diagnosis working correctly.
Firebase, analytics providers, security providers, and payment providers may also use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, fraud prevention, security, analytics, checkout, and service delivery.
Microsoft Clarity may use cookies and similar technologies on the pages where it runs, to recognize a browser across page views and group them into a single behavioral analytics session.
7. Analytics, Logs, And Error Monitoring
SalaryBoost uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website and the product are used. Analytics may include interaction events and ecommerce events, such as starting checkout and completing a purchase, including a transaction identifier, amount, and currency where applicable.
SalaryBoost uses Microsoft Clarity on selected public marketing and salary-check pages for behavioral analytics. Clarity may record click and tap heatmaps, scroll behavior, session recordings, repeated clicks, unresponsive or dead clicks, and navigation behavior, so that we can see where these pages are confusing or hard to use.
Sensitive areas are masked. SalaryBoost masks the whole salary check form — the salary you enter, any email or custom profession you type, and the profession, state, and experience level you select, including the contents of an open drop-down — as well as salary diagnosis results, the visible content of the purchase confirmation page, and the paid course reader. Masked content is not sent to Microsoft.
Clarity does not start when a purchase confirmation page, a sign-in page, the account settings page, or the paid course reader is opened directly; it may still be running on those pages if you reach them by navigating within the site from a page where it had already started, which is why those areas are masked as well. SalaryBoost does not use Clarity's identification features and does not connect a Clarity session to your account, your email, your payment records, or your diagnosis records. Clarity does still recognize a browser across page views, so this data is pseudonymous rather than anonymous.
Page addresses are not masked and may be recorded, including any parameters they contain. SalaryBoost does not put access tokens, payment identifiers, or account identifiers into the addresses of the pages where Clarity runs.
SalaryBoost uses Sentry for error monitoring. Sentry receives error and diagnostic data when something fails, so that faults can be found and fixed. Session replay is currently disabled.
SalaryBoost also uses hosting logs, Firebase logs, and similar operational data. This information helps understand feature usage, diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
8. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide the free salary check and paid Salary Growth Plan.
- Create and manage accounts, access rights, and plan restoration.
- Process purchases, confirm digital access, and handle refund or support requests.
- Save progress, quiz responses, and product state.
- Improve SalaryBoost, troubleshoot issues, secure the service, and prevent misuse.
- Send transactional emails and respond to user inquiries.
9. Sharing Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed with service providers that help operate SalaryBoost. These currently include Google and Firebase for hosting, authentication, database, security, analytics, and related infrastructure, Microsoft for behavioral analytics through Microsoft Clarity, Paddle for payments, Resend for transactional email, and Sentry for error monitoring.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and security, to investigate abuse, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
10. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain purchase and access records, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Some guest progress or session data may remain in your browser until you clear it.
11. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your SalaryBoost account from account settings. No request or approval is needed. For security you will be asked to confirm your password first.
Deleting the account removes your SalaryBoost sign-in, your plan access and entitlement records, your plan progress, your saved plan and quiz responses, your workbook, your plan reflections, and the product and module feedback linked to your account. Paid access is not restored afterwards.
Some records are kept because they exist for a reason other than running your account. These are the purchase and order record, the record of which Terms of Service and Refund Policy version applied to a purchase and when it was agreed to, and records needed for security, fraud prevention, accounting, and disputes. Salary diagnosis records are not linked to an account identifier and are kept as described above.
Paddle, and other providers such as Firebase, Resend, and Sentry, keep their own records under their own terms. Deleting your SalaryBoost account does not delete every copy of every record held by every provider, and we do not claim that it does.
Deletion is carried out automatically rather than instantaneously everywhere. You can also contact getsalaryboost@gmail.com with a privacy request instead.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including Firebase security controls and server-side access checks for paid content. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
13. International Processing
SalaryBoost is available online and may use providers that process data in different countries. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.
14. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact getsalaryboost@gmail.com . We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
15. Children And Minors
SalaryBoost is intended for working professionals and is not directed to children. If you believe a child or minor has provided personal information to SalaryBoost, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
16. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SalaryBoost, service providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
